Al Masaood’s Power Division ended its participation at the Dubai International Boat Show 2019, which was held at the Dubai Canal Jumeirah. The event, which Al Masaood has been involved in since its inception, caters to all industry enthusiasts from local and international communities to the wealthiest VIP clientele; providing the perfect platform to gain direct access to these lucrative buyers and strengthen relationships with local shipbuilders in the UAE.
The Division displayed several engines at the highly anticipated marine festival’s OD-125 stand including:
- MTU Hybrid Propulsion System Solution Demo Model – part of the future range that Rolls Royce will launch in 2020 and be made available for yachts, workboats, ferries and patrol boats in a power range extending from 1000-4000 kilowatts per powertrain;
- MTU New Engine model 12V2000M96L – this engine series, which already powers multiple vessels, generates up to 1940kw of power and is suitable for high-performance yachts such as those used for big game fishing in the USA;
- MTU Bluevision New Generation Automation – developed based on the automation platform MCS-6, the hardware developed by MTU is the successor of the present MCS-5 platform and will be individually configured according to the respective application and customer requirements;
- Volvo Penta Easy Boating Concept – Volvo Penta is the leading manufacturer of marine diesel and petrol engines, generators and fully integrated propulsion systems. The brand’s new intuitive Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) System ensures everything can be easily controlled and monitored through its use – routes can be plotted on the Glass Cockpit System, Autopilot activated on the joystick and smooth guidance to a destination.
