Operating on natural gas, biogas, or alternative gases, our generator sets incorporate advanced technology for combined heat and power (CHP), and cooling (CHPC) applications. They are highly efficient with low emissions, providing electrical power ranging from 776 kWe to 2,547 kWe. Additionally, The Series 4000 gas gensets offer hydrogen blending options for even greener operations.

Class-leading power density: Advanced and proven. The mtu Series 4000 system comes with a heat recovery unit that provides the basis for optimised auxiliary efficiencies. The system includes a generator, ignition system, motor interface panel (MIP), Automation system (MMC) and knock detection.
Green hydrogen – i.e. hydrogen from carbon-neutral production sources – is the key to this future. It can be used directly as a fuel for fuel cells or hydrogen engines, or as a basis for synthetic fuels such as e-methanol or e-diesel, that are produced using additional green energy. We are addressing the entire hydrogen ecosystem – from production and storage of hydrogen to downstream processing and use in fuel cells or hydrogen-fuelled combined heat and power plants. Our customers can rely on integrated mtu total solutions from a single provider.
