Offering constant peak performance even under extreme conditions, MTU engines include diesel engines, MTU PowerPacks® and MTU EuroPowerPacks which have been setting standards in military engine technology for main battle tanks (MBTs), howitzers and personnel carriers, amongst others.
As a systems provider, MTU develops and realises customised and highly integrated system solutions together with customers and vehicle manufacturers from 160 to 2,016 kW, even for the most demanding requirements and applications. These are based on the engines of the 106 and 199 series for light and medium wheeled vehicles, and the 890 series for light and medium armoured tracked vehicles as well as the compact MTU PowerPacks®. The 870 and 880 series (engines 873, 881 and 883) and the highly integrated MTU EuroPowerPacks are ideal for use in heavy vehicles.
